NCSA provides an opportunity for assessment practitioners to discuss what is happening in educational assessment on both the state and federal level.

The Achievement and Assessment Institute and the Center for Educational Testing and Evaluation (CETE) announces the First International Conference on Instructional Sensitivity. The conference will be held November 14-15 at the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas. It opens with a banquet on the evening of Wednesday, November 13.

LAWRENCE, Kans.— Illinois has joined the Dynamic Learning Maps Alternate Assessment Consortium, a multi-state initiative developing a computer-based assessment designed to more validly measure what students with significant cognitive disabilities know and can do.

On July 1, 2013, the Center for Educational Testing and Evaluation (CETE) will transition all testing functions from the Kansas Computerized Assessments (KCA) system to the Kansas Interactive Testing Engine (KITE). This upgraded engine provides an improved testing platform, easier access to reports, and a unified system across all tests. The transition to KITE will occur in stages. This document outlines the changes effective July 1.
